God, my God.

April 10, 2017

It’s 2 o’ clock in the morning. I just finished praying not too long ago and my son just so happens to still be wide awake. No doubt from hearing my loud cries out to God as I prayed over us and the lost souls of this world. When I say prayer is power… I mean it. Now, I usually do not write blogs on any day besides Wednesdays, but God’s presence and conviction is stirring strong in my heart. Lingering. Pushing. Encouraging me to take a bold and confident step in Him.  God is reminding me that this is not the time to spiritually cower, conform, or concede. He is coming and soon. {Hallelujah. Hallelujah.}

“Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.'”

2 Corinthians 6:17

I originally started this blog with the mindset of sharing my testimony with those who are broken. My passion is to reach others who are lost by witnessing God’s love, mercy, and truth. Well, lately I noticed my blog starting to blend in with the typical everyday “sugar-coated” religious bloggers I come across. Eh. Not my style at all. God sent me a revelation that He would much rather people feel conviction and change than them hear a compilation of feel good words to only go back to a sinful life once they leave my website. I want to touch souls which are eternal, not feelings which are temporary. Believe it or not, there are levels to this spiritual thing.

“When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.”

1 Corinthians 13:11

Growth is painful. You know how a plant will not out grow it’s own pot? Well, I feel like God is removing me from the smaller pot I created for myself to plant me into a bigger pot He prepared for me. And His pot alone is the only one going to be able to hold my destiny. So even though I am feeling life’s growth pains here and there as I transition, I put my trust in God. I believe that whatever I am going through will only be for my good. God has never failed me and I know He will not fail you.

“For this reason, although I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do what is right.”

Philemon 1:8

With all that being said, I want to talk about… boldness.

For awhile now the spiritual atmosphere has been changing. Have any of you all felt it too? Two Sundays ago I kept hearing “It is time. The harvest is now.” I have been hearing that message in my spirit ever since.

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.'”

Mathew 9:37

First, to those who are lost right now and still entertaining sin, this is the time to get serious about your relationship with God. Not in fear, but in faith. He loves you with a love that is unconditional, all-forgiving, and nothing like any other “love” you may have experienced on this earth. His love for you runs deeper than your all your mistakes, your pains, your past, and your hurt. He already knows everything you have done in both dark and light and His love (unlike people) has not changed for you. Begin to speak to Him. Get to know Him. This is the time.

“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.”

Psalm 86:15

Now the rest of this blog will be dedicated to those who are followers of Christ. We have a lot going on in this world. War. Death. Famine. Sex Trafficking. Child Pornography. Drug Rings. Racial Tension. You name it. And it seems that everything evil has intensified. Well, it has. This is not the time for us to be playing church. Not trying to look righteous or like we have this thing all figured out. This is simply not the time. We should be in the streets telling everyone of God’s love. Witnessing with great boldness and truth. This is the time! This may be our final harvest. Only God knows. If you are a follower of Christ and have been for awhile now, you should have fruit to show for it. If we are truly living by a godly example, there should be others who see God in us and be drawing near in curiosity. When I say this, I say this to myself as well. There are too many “Christians” who are not Christ-like at all. You ever go on someone’s social media page and see in the description “God first” but the more you dig in their page you can clearly see God is not indeed first. I’m not saying be judgmental, but I need for us to acknowledge that the world is watching. Recently I have been even bolder in my love and witnessing to others. I meet people and just naturally begin to witness. How can we be scared to talk about the goodness of God? How can we live in fear in an active war? The devil wants you, your children, your marriage, your ministry,  your passion, your heritage , your very identity. He is merciless.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”

Ephesians 6:11

Be fervent in your prayer, bible reading, fellowship with fellow believers, tithing, etc. It’s detrimental that you keep in mind that any distractions from fulfilling God’s work is a ploy of the enemy. Let the idols go. If you worship your looks more than God, stop. If you worship your partner more than God, stop. If you worship your social media more than God, let it cease. If you worship your money more than God, remember one of those is only temporary. Focus on God and He WILL supply your every need.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19

People all over the world see Christians as the enemy because of generation after generation of corrupt people who have used Christianity as their cover to do their own evil. These wars on innocent people? Not Christ-like. Oppressing the poor? Not Christ-like. Hypocrites who say not to do something but they are doing it? Not Christ-like. Denying refuge for war victims? Not Christ-like. Stealing money in government postions? Not Christ-like. Affairs while married? Not Christ-like. Bullying people who do not agree with you? Not Christ-like. There is so much that these false Christians have done in vain in the name of God. The Bible says you will know His people by their fruit. {Matthew 7:16}

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”

2 Peter 1:1-3

Be watchful for false prophets and people who say they are of God but say and do things in total opposition. Everyone in a pulpit is not of God. Everyone who shouts “Amen!” is not of God. Guard your spirit. Pray for wisdom and discernment.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

John 13:34

We are to love all! Unconditionally. When you love people, you look after their soul. When you love someone if you see them doing wrong, then you speak up. It’s up to them to listen or to continue on their path. You only have to politely, but effectively tell them once. Don’t beat people over the head. God will work in their hearts. Just pray for them and love on them, but do not conform into their ways. Stand firm in your faith. People you call friends should not be comfortable sinning in front of you… Draw a line. Respect your God.

“For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”

Hebrews 12:11

I had committed almost every sin in the Bible. God still loved me. If He can love me, He will love anyone. If He didn’t leave me in depression, hate, unforgiveness, anxiety, bitterness, etc. – He will not leave you. Call out to him sister. Call out to Him brother. Y’all… when I tell you I was messed all the way up inside my spirit, I was near dead. I was on a spiritual ventilator. I had given up on me, but God stayed. I had turned to many other religions and beliefs. I was so lost. All those religions were dead. Only JESUS is alive and praise God He kept me – and He’s keeping you. Thank God he broke me down so I could finally see where my hope lies. Thank God!

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

Matthew 7:21-23

It’s time to get real, open, and honest with your walk with God. Stop pretending life is perfect. Stop beating yourself up in the dark hours of the night. Get up! Be free! God is your father. Jesus is your friend. You have a sister in me. Pray, love.

Let us pray:

God, we love you. We come to You today and everyday because we need You. For without You, nothing is possible. We lift You up and Give You the praise. Lord, please continue to give us the boldness and courage to keep fighting the good fight. Let saving this world be our priority. Let loving on those who need it most be our mission. Jesus, this world is withering and fast. People are sleep. Open up their eyes. Let their hearts be softened in this harvest. Have mercy on the souls of my city and this world.  We thank You in advance for sparing them and us. We love you, Yahweh. As Easter draws near we reflect on Yeshua’s sacrifice. What a blessing! Hosanna, Hosanna! Glory be unto thy name util the ends of the earth and forever more.

In Jesus’ Glorious Name. Amen.

“This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”

Ephesians 3:11-12

I love you all always! Keep God near. Listen for Him. Seek after Him. Always praying for you, friend.

Peace and blessings,

Alicia – The Prodigal Daughter
