Joy Comes In The Morning

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Y’all, it’s a new day, and only by the grace of God are we able to witness it. That’s something worth smiling about. Something worth shouting about. Something worth rejoicing about. I don’t know about you, but I praise God for his renewed mercies every morning. You may have been going through the dark valley lately. It may seem like there is no light or exit in in the distance. But rest assured, friend, that God is with you and joy is not far from you.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trialsof many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

James 1:2-3

There are many times when God doesn’t change our situation because He wants our situation to change us. Because there is something He wants to bring forth from us that can only happen under great pressure and going through the fire. Whether it be humility, patience, courage, deeper understanding, and so forth, be mindful that God does not put more on us than we can bear. So you are equipped for this. God never takes us through any trial unless it is intended for our good. Rest in that.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Philippians 4:4

Today, I encourage you to take your eyes off the problems and refocus on the cross. Joy slips through our grasps when we stress over things that we have already asked God to take care of. Trust God to be God. You are blessed! You are alive! Rejoice! Learn to praise God in the storms. He is still good even when we don’t understand his plans for our lives. Our situations may change, but the Lord never does.

Friend, it is now morning…

Joy is here. God has said it’s yours. Don’t let the world steal it from you. ♡
